Protein Formulation
Proper formulation of a soluble protein is crucial for its stability and function. Different conditions apply to enzymes, intracellular proteins, antibodies, and fusion proteins, and not all proteins will remain stable in PBS. A simple freeze-thaw test, analyzed by HPLC SEC, is a reliable way to determine if the protein can be delivered in sterile PBS
PROCESS
Does the protein contain free cysteins?
Is the protein an intracellular protein?

This is a key point for discussion. What is the intended purpose of the protein reagent? Is binding capability or biological activity the primary concern?
We will conduct screening with various buffers and additives, followed by testing using specific endpoint criteria.
